XO Fish Bee Hoon There's this XO fish bee hoon near holland village which was introduced a long time ago on TV n i had a chance to try it last nite... It's located near the Buona Vista CC n beside this govt-owned building thingy... Honestly speaking, I dunno wad the hoo haa is about but I felt the XO fish bee hoon didn't taste exactly that fantastic... The fish bits were huge though... Big chunky pieces... The san lou hor fun was quite good though... It's actually horfun fried with fish slices and with lotsa bean sprouts... I'm not a fan of bean sprouts but it actually tasted good in that dish... The har jiong gai (prawn paste chicken) taste only average, tasted more like fried chicken if u ask me... The fried kai lan was a big let down... Taste-wise it was only ok, but the portion was a wee bit pathetic if u ask me, and for that price, i could have gotta a whole basket full of the veg in the market! Price-wise, the place is a little ex for a coffee shop n the taste is at most slightly above average. Note: Dun go there n order any takeaway soup dishes, cos they charge u an extra 2 bucks for the container... Though the container is quite nice n can be reused, I think we can all do without the container n pay a whopping 2 bucks less... RaMbLeD at 5:24 PM
